Job Description

Who we are looking for…. 
Our ideal candidate will be a proactive and hands-on leader with the ability to coordinate a team in a fast-moving environment, driving the successful performance of operations for our fruit farm in Lambells Lagoon. 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following components: 

  • Support the Operations Manager in leading and managing the packshed team, driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee daily operational activities to ensure orders are picked, packed, and dispatched in full and on time
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and legislative requirements across all operational processes
  • Organising operations activities ensuring objectives and targets are achieved within required time frames.
  • Manage quality control, grading, ripening, packing, weighing, and labelling of fresh produce
  • Maintain accurate inventory, reporting, and documentation, ensuring robust internal controls
  • Promote a safe, high-performance workplace aligned with company policies

Desired Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following capabilities: 

  • Experience in a similar position and/or farming environment is preferred.
  • A respectful and considerate leader with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of technical and industry standards including safety & quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership and problem solving skills - working with a wide range of people to drive team culture.
  • Knowledge of machinery, equipment maintenance and farming practices.
  • Be a champion of health & safety with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Forklift & HR Truck licence preferred, or a willingness to obtain.
